CONNECTED to Community

Across the nation. Around the world. Accessible from anywhere.

What does community mean to you?
Chances are you’ll find it at New England College.

Whether you earn your bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, your master’s in Health Informatics, or another of our 100+ programs, you’ll become a vital part of our unique and thriving community. The New England College community is grounded in who we are: creative, supportive, innovative, transformative.

What does the NEC community look like? It looks a lot like YOU.

New England College welcomes everyone and is proud to be the most diverse college in New Hampshire.

Our students represent all 50 states, more than 75 countries, and all walks of life. We respect each other, we share stories and experiences, and we learn from each other.

I needed a community where people would know me and I would know them. I wanted professors who would give me their full attention. NEC helped me succeed and achieve my goals!

Hands-On Learning

We believe in learning by doing, so we encourage students to engage with the world beyond the classroom. What does that look like? More than classroom lectures, you’ll learn from experts who value faculty/student collaboration, partner with our mentors to achieve academic and personal success, and explore internships for real-world application of degree programs.

Campus students can embark on Study Away trips to gain hands-on knowledge of their programs and the world around them. These trips are available at no extra cost to students because they are included in tuition.

We also believe in civic engagement. It’s part of our DNA, and we offer students plenty of opportunities to get involved. You can sit in on town-hall meetings with presidential candidates, a regular sighting around campus, or attend NEC’s College Convention and come face-to-face with the people, issues, and process that shape presidential primary campaigns. Our President’s Speaker Series hosts leaders from the industry, science, and technology sectors, and our student-led CiviCorps organizes a variety of civic and community activities.

At New England College, the world is your classroom.

Do you enjoy the thrill of competition? It’s been said that if you don’t play sports at NEC, you’re probably friends with at least one student who does. Almost 40 percent of our campus undergraduate students participate in one of our 19 NCAA Division III athletic programs. And our non-athlete students, faculty, and staff regularly attend games and cheer on their fellow Pilgrims.

Find your community and get connected at New England College.
